STARK 1000L Stainless Steel Cartridge Filter for Industrial Water Treatment
STARK 1000L Stainless Steel Cartridge Filter for Industrial Water Treatment
The STARK 1000L Cartridge Filter is engineered for high-efficiency particulate removal in water treatment and industrial liquid processing. Constructed with premium-grade stainless steel, this filter housing supports a wide range of cartridge types and is suitable for applications demanding strict hygiene, durability, and operational safety.
This 1000-liter capacity cartridge filter unit is ideal for pre-filtration in reverse osmosis systems, process water polishing, and the removal of fine contaminants in municipal, pharmaceutical, and beverage industries.
The STARK 1000L Stainless Steel Cartridge Filter is a high-capacity pressure vessel engineered for demanding water filtration applications. It is constructed using heavy-duty SUS304 or SUS316 stainless steel, offering superior resistance to oxidizing chemicals, high temperature, and continuous flow conditions.
Structural Design
This filter features a vertical, cylindrical housing with a swing-bolt-locked hinged top cover, ensuring quick access for cartridge replacement and interior inspection. The housing accommodates up to 45 standard cartridges in lengths of 10", 20", 30", or 40", and supports both DOE (double open end) and SOE (single open end) styles with O-ring sealing. The internal tube sheet design ensures precise alignment and leak-free sealing, even under high differential pressure.
Surface Finish and Sanitary Compliance
The inner surface is mirror-polished to Ra ≤ 0.4 μm, effectively preventing bacterial adhesion and simplifying sanitation. Optional electropolishing is available for ultrapure water applications. All welds are performed using argon arc welding (TIG) under protective atmosphere, following ASTM/AWS D1.6 stainless steel welding procedures, and 100% pressure tested before shipment.
Flow & Pressure Control
The standard model includes pressure gauge ports on the inlet and outlet, a pressure-relief valve on the cover, and a bottom drain valve for complete drainage. It operates at a maximum pressure of 1.0 MPa and withstands temperatures up to 120°C, suitable for both cold and hot process lines.
Filter Compatibility & Adaptability
The unit is compatible with pleated, melt-blown, activated carbon, or membrane-style cartridges. Optional cartridge compression springs ensure full sealing without bypass. For multi-stage filtration, the housing may be configured with inlet/outlet orientation in top-in bottom-out or side-in side-out options, depending on piping layout.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Designed with maintenance in mind, the swing-top lid and quick-clamp sealing allow tool-free access. The system supports CIP (Clean-In-Place) and SIP (Steam-In-Place) sterilization processes, meeting pharmaceutical, beverage, and municipal hygiene standards.
Optional Features & Accessories
- EPDM, Viton, or PTFE gaskets for chemical compatibility
- Sanitary tri-clamp, threaded or flange connections
- Differential pressure sensor ports
- Cartridge hold-down springs or bag filter adapter kits
- Skid-mounted versions for plug-and-play installation

The STARK 1000L Stainless Steel Cartridge Filter is designed for high-end industrial and sanitary-grade applications that demand precise, reliable, and customizable filtration. Its robust construction, cartridge flexibility, and sanitary polish finish make it ideal for deployment across multiple sectors, ensuring compliance with international standards and process integrity.
1. Water Treatment & Reverse Osmosis Systems
In centralized or modular water treatment facilities, this cartridge filter serves as a primary barrier against suspended solids, sediment, rust, and organic matter before sensitive downstream components like RO membranes, UV sterilizers, or EDI units. Its pre-filtration role reduces membrane fouling, extends system life, and minimizes operating costs.
2. Beverage & Food Processing
For applications in mineral water bottling, beer filtration, dairy rinse lines, syrup clarification, and CIP final rinse stages, the filter’s polished internal surface and compatibility with food-grade O-rings make it a hygienic choice. It helps meet HACCP and FDA requirements while maintaining clarity, taste, and microbial control in production.
3. Pharmaceutical, Biotech & Cosmetics Manufacturing
In cleanroom-grade production lines, this cartridge filter is used in water-for-injection (WFI), buffer solution prep, and rinse water processes. Its mirror-polished surfaces and electropolishing options meet GMP and USP Class VI standards, while compatibility with steam sterilization and SIP/CIP cleaning ensures contamination-free reuse.
4. Chemical & Petrochemical Processing
Ideal for fine chemical recovery, solvent polishing, and filtration of corrosive media, the filter’s optional PTFE or Viton seals and SUS316 construction provide resistance to aggressive acids and bases. It ensures particle-free discharge and helps maintain equipment reliability in continuous batch processes or tank transfer lines.
5. Electronics & Semiconductor Industries
This filter supports ultrapure water loops for etching, polishing, and wafer cleaning, especially where microfiltration with 0.2μm cartridges is required. Its anti-static grounding capability, low extractables surface, and high flow capacity make it a staple for EDI/DI water circulation lines.
6. Municipal Infrastructure & Environmental Engineering
Used in treated sewage reuse, rainwater harvesting, and greywater recovery systems, the unit offers long-life durability, backwashable cartridge compatibility, and easy maintenance in decentralized installations. Suitable for mobile containerized stations and disaster response water modules.
7. Industrial Manufacturing & Power Plants
In boiler feedwater pre-treatment, cooling tower purification, and painting line fluid filtration, this system performs reliably under variable pressure and flow. Its modularity allows easy scale-up for small to mid-sized industrial facilities requiring stable water quality assurance.
Across all industries, the STARK cartridge filter system helps reduce filtration costs, improve water system uptime, and achieve compliance with regulatory frameworks such as ISO 9001, FDA, NSF, and local water discharge laws.
